Word For the Week

Scripture Reading:
Ecclesiastes 12:1, Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, "Life is not pleasant anymore.

Believers and non-believers alike are busy enjoying their personal lives. They spend time participating in all kind of services and functions with various organizations. These organizations may include the Armed Forces, various Charity, Elks, Cub scouts, womens groups, & your job etc. Everything in your life seems to take precedence, your spouse, your kids, social network and your job. Yes, are all things that require your service. The question that we are confronted with is, when will we find time to serve the Lord. For example, there was a woman who said she was just to busy to go to church and participate, the next day she lost her job, and the Lord said, "now you have plenty of time". Remember, to thank God for all that he has provided you with, from your youth, to your health. Young people seem to not realize they are going to get old. They don't realize the time is coming when they wont have the strength to serve the Lord. If you are thinking about waiting until your old and done with life to serve, what good will you be to the body of Christ at that time. Remember, our reward in Heaven will be according to our works, and make no mistake, salvation is based on his grace, you cannot earn it. Let me leave you with this scripture to ponder this week. Rev 20:12, I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Here's my poem for today
There Are Angels All Around Us
About Guardian Angels watching over us.

There are Angels all around us
Protecting you and I
Keeping us both safe
And under watchful eye
The Angels keep us safe
From the danger all around
And they will pick you up
If you trip and hit the ground
They are all around us
Never leave you all alone
They're there when you are driving
Or talking on the phone
They will keep you safe
And shelter you from fright
It's the blessed Guardian Angel
That keeps your seat belt tight.
They watch you when you sleep
And watch when you're awake
The Blessed Guardian Angel
Watches every move you make
There are Angels all around us
Keep us safe from harm
They even still watch Grandma
In the chair knitting her yarn
Angels all around us
Bless divinity
They steer us clear of danger
That we can't even see
They won't leave you alone,
At home or where you roam
They protect your soul
When you forget the goal
Is to make it into Heaven
And not the firey hole,
And when you get to Heaven
And With Jesus take a stroll.
They don't punch a time clock
They watch you day and night
And though we can not see it
They are vested with the light.
There are Angels all around us
And each and every place
They protect us with love
Of the Lord's embrace
The brilliance of the Lord
Will never go away
And if we are lucky
We'll meet with Him one day.
There are Angels all around us
To help keep us alive
Without Angelic guidance
We might not survive
There are Angels all around us
You know this to be true
They're always watching out for us
Protecting me and you
Giving us the chance
To make it and get through
There are Angels all around us
Pushing us to see
That we can get to Heaven
And Live eternally

A place of peace.

Long peaceful days of awaited beauty lonely thoughts and fading sun-rays. - A gentle stillness and a warm embrace, tender touch of peacefulness. - A whispering breeze but poised of grace, inside a sweet and tranquil space. This is a poem written by one of my first internet friends when I started trying to see if I had the skill to become a writer. We had many many endless nights of laughter back and forth until we practically fell asleep at the computer. We exchanged laughs back and forth and made each other spit out coffee or whatever else we were drinking at the time. I feel it is befitting to give my buddy Debbie the first 'Guest Spot' if you will on my blog.
